| General | I'm slowly building The Chayn Lynx
, a chainmail crafting business gear more towards mainstream interest as well as the normal Renaissance faire and medieval recreationist crowd. I roleplay quite a bit (mostly tabletop, not online), I'm an avid computer hobbyist and I read sci-fi like it's going out of style. I'm also a regular worker at the Texas Renaissance Festival north of Magnolia, TX every year since 2004. | | Music | Linkin Park, Bush, 80's music as a genre, Bond, Enya, Evanessence, Cirque du Soleil, Madonna (yeah yeah, bite me!), Trans Siberian Orchestra, Loreena McKennit and quite a few other musical groups across a wide range of genres. | | Movies | Alien, Aliens, Alien Resurrection (there IS no third movie), Dune (1984), The Fifth Element, Heartbreak Ridge, Soldier, Some Like It Hot, Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, Battle Beyond the Stars, Macross Plus, Spriggan, The Last Starfighter, Legend, Spiderman 2, Daredevil...just to name a few. *grin* | | Television | Farscape, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica (the ORIGINAL series, not the modern soap-opera remake), STTNG, Mash and others I can't think of right now. I haven't kept up with any series since Farscape ended because I don't have time to live a vicarious life in front of the babblebox and plant ass-roots into my sofa...not to mention I don't like getting angry at the series production channels who fund fantastic new series like the first two in my list and then cut them off in favor of more 'traditional' series that have a lot more 'drama' and a lot less story and character development. For Farscape and Firefly fans, you know what I'm talking about. | | Books | Can't even BEGIN to make this list. *grin* Let's just say I read a LOT of sci-fi and a bit of fantasy fiction. | | Heroes | Thomas Jefferson. And anyone who has the courage to do the Right Thing for others when it's needed most despite the fact that doing it frightens that person out of his/her mind. |

About me:
Talk about myself? Bad idea. I get carried away doing that. I don't even mean to, it just seems to happen that way. I can cover some basics, though. I'm friendly, outgoing, a bit larger than life on the outside (something I taught myself to be over many years) but naturally shy at the core. I provide computer tech support at work, but it's not really what I do, it's just what I'm good enough at to do without the need to concentrate on it...so I can do what I really love doing - chainmail crafting!
I should have finished college, but college and I had a difference of opinion on the definition of 'education'. I should have been an engineer, but I have a wry sense of humor and I'm not methodically inclined. I should have been introverted and only talk to other socially-crippled computer nerds, but I'm a Leo so I can't just fade into the background mumbling to myself.
What I should have been might have been okay, but what I'm becoming is much more surprising and a HELL of a lot more interesting! *mischievous grin*
For those interested in having chainmail work done, I enthusiastically accept commissions and I'm willing to entertain just about ANY creative idea a potential customer is willing to lay out on the table, so to speak.

Who I'd like to meet:
All kindsa people, though I'm most interested in meeting people who like armor, metal working and chainmail crafting. I'm a serious long-term tabletop RPG man, actively playing most of the last 25 years, so I'm always on the lookout for other RGP nuts out there. I also talk computer babble, though I don't bury myself in it like I used to.
