About The Cheat

Originally formed in Berkeley, The Cheat now makes its home in sunny Los Angeles. Long time friends and collaborators, the boys favor a brand of music that recalls the sound of vintage 60s Cailfornia while infusing modern influences. Four part harmonies cascade along kaleidoscopic American soundscapes. Rusted acoustic guitars, jangly percussion and seductive bass lines tussle but ultimately make peace with vocals that are occasionally as haunting as they are melodic. The Cheat are in the studio in Venice working on their first EP for Shangri-La Music.
