Remember the original "New Wave" & "Punk" movements? What the Bigs call punk now is .....well, NOT! It's not some pre packaged sound, the way you dress, or some haircut. Punk was & is an attitude. A way of life. And don't even use the term new wave in this day & age. It's like people think of some bad mid eighties stuff. It all used to bleed together. Generation X, The Clash, Gang Of Four, XTC, Devo, Sex Pistols, Tubeway Army. Bands with the same frustrations, emotions & feelings...but different sounds. So different, but so alike...music somehow united together as a front. It's all going back to that. We are the people that play music because we have to. It's our release. Many times it's what get's us by. It's one vice or the other. Don't we all hate working screwed jobs & being suppressed by the man? Don't we all have anxieties & pressures? This is our release. This is what we love & do for ourselves. The true independent bands are rising. There's so much great music out there right now. Let's get together & take the music back from the corporate schmucks that sucked us dry.

Yeah, I'm at Columbia in NYC, but I will be home for a long Winter break from 12/23-1/18, so I hope to get to see you guys and meet the newest little family members! I saw Spiritualized do an acoustic show at the Apollo 2 wees ago with a string quartet and a gospel choir and I recorded it, so I'd love to share it with you.
I love the Oingo Boingo cover - I also saw them in high school - went to the Dead Man's Party show in CA right after my SAT...Also, it's good to see you, Steve, even if it is just in cyberspace.
