The Cherried pickles, AKA 'Cherried Pickles' is my outlet for things that are going on in my head, or have happened. I've been writing stuff since about 2003... Basically for an excuse to be fun, silly, overdramatic and spontaneous without having the need to live up to anything in particular.Some of my stuff is about popular culture, some of it is about me being a depressed angsty teenager/young woman being menstrual, and some of it is crazy and ridiculous.
All the stuff you hear on here is original and recorded and mixed by myself, on my humble little eMac with either Audacity or Sound studio.
When asked to describe my sound, I would have to say that if you imagined a choir girl who listened to Nine Inch Nails, tori Amos, the dresden dolls and PJ harvey, you would ultimatley come up with the Cherried Pickles. I have honours in 8th grade modern singing now, and may sit for my diploma next year! YAy!
I understand my stuff isn't many peoples cup of tea - I've been compared from things ranging from an 'angel', to 'trippy', to 'yeah I was avoiding telling you I found your music myspace, to 'it makes me want to take drugs', so I suppose, see for yourself!
So, anyway - rather than rabbit on about it all, post a comment or something, I'd love to know what you think! :)
