The Cheyenne doll project sarted in 2004 in France around mel (music lyrics & voice)
Mel began music at 13 years old,she played in many different bands punk, blues, soul, hip-hop and rock.
in 2000 she signed for her first album with the band "La zone zen" (Sud music Production, Scalen distribution, Jean Davoust edition)
She decided in 2004 to began her first solo project : CHEYENNE DOLL
She composed 11 acoustic songs (Guitar - voices) as a first demo, she recorded it at home with her brother at the guitar.
2 month later was contacted by galbert Spence (Burning Spears guitar player) to work on his new project in Miami with Virgo (Burning Spears sound engineer) they recorded 5 titles.
At the end of the recording, Burning Spears started a new tour, at the same time mel was contacted by River Side Record in London to talk about the CHEYENNE DOLL project they told mel that she must record a real album with a band and gave her a london engineers list.
The first on the list was Kenny Jones (Alchemy studio) : Pulp, Bjork, Robby Williams, Steel Pulse, Oasis, The smiths...
Mel met him and gave him the demo, Kenny loved at the first listen, he proposed to mel to produce the album with her.
At first they recorded 5 titles with a french line-up.
The demo was sent to some music buisnessmen, one gave an answer : Mister Palassio (Sporting Club de Monaco artistic director), mel was guest to meet him in Monaco to talk about buisness in the VIP room of the Deep Purple show.

After that, mel looked for another contacts to find the money to finish the recording of the album.
She composed 7 other songs and returned to the studio to finalize the album with Kenny.
At the end of the recording she was contacted by Jannick Top, a famous french bass player : Magma, Michel Berger, Eurythmics, Herbie hancock...
He proposed to join him for a side-project with Manu Guiot, a french sound engineer who worked with Mick Jagger, Eurythmics, Sex pistols, Bob Dylan, Jeff Beck, Elvis costello, Ziggy Marley and many other.
At the same time he proposed to mel to record an alternative version of "Flo's house" & "Fucking tragedy" with brass and let the lead to mel for the arrangement
In Paris, mel met "Bekurious Management" they found some acoustic Shows for mel in Paris (Piano/voice)
She found by herself some dates for an acoustic tour in N.Y from november to december at : Don Pedro, Goodbye blue monday (williamsburg Brooklin) 169 bar, The living room, Piano's (Manhattan) and made some shows in private party : White Box Gallery, Gilles LARRAIN studio (manhattan)
Then mel moved to L.A and found a date at "Whisky a Go-go" (27th January) and check the labels (Geffen, Interscope, AM, Capitol, Record collection...
After the whisky 3 more shows are proposed to mel in few clubs in Holywood and Sunset blv.
Actually mel also work on a movie music for Veronique Isoardi/Morales for A.F.I (LA) , she's gonna make an interview for sugarbuzz.
