WE HAVE A VERY BROAD RANGE OF MUSICAL INFLUENCES. WE ALL GREW UP LISTENING TO CLASSIC ROCK/JAM BANDS/ROCK/FUNK/JAZZ/HIP-HOP/RAP/REGGAE ANYTHING THAT GETS YOU MOVING AND FEELING EMOTIONS.
The CHI club is a vibrant groove rock band based in
San Diego, CA. Inspired by the cool pacific breezes
of an eclectic beach community, CHI club draws
influences mainly from Rock, Funk and Jazz. However,
our inspiration comes from all genres and eras of
music. With the basic goal of keeping the music fresh
and the energy high, the CHI club loves to make people
move and strives to deliver a positive experience.
CHI club..s songs are conceived by any of the core
members. No song is complete until all members have
seasoned the song with their own flavor. With
contrasts between light and dark, and moments of
tension and release, spontaneity is an important part
of CHI Club music. A live show is typically filled
with original music mixed with a few familiar cover
songs that complement the mood of any moment.
Built on a strong rhythm section (Rain - bass, Serge
drums), and surrounded by delicious melodies produced
by the lead guitar and piano
(Bill - keyboards), the two vocalists (Roland -
vocals/rhythm guitar.
Since the bands formation in the summer of 2005 The
CHI club has played constantly, opening and headlining
with some of San Diego's more popular local acts. They
have played at many of San Diego's favorite music
venues, the Ocean Beach Street Fair, and a few
Northern California shows as well.
The CHI Club's goal is to create a welcoming community
atmosphere where music is the catalyst to unite
people, make a positive contribution, and have fun.
