I am The Child of A Creek. I was born in a too small noizy town in september 1978. I learnt my father’s ancient ’76 folk guitar to play at 11 and began writing lyrics and songs, recording songs and ideas using an old small mumbling recorder at 15. My father loved Beatles, Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra and he loved playing his folk guitar and singing seated close to the fireplace and my mother loved cooking delicious cakes and listening to my father’s songs. My father doesn’t play guitar anymore and he doesn’t sing close to the fireplace anymore now and my mother doesn’t listen to my father’s songs anymore. Life is curious sometimes. Anyway, I grew up with Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Pink Floyd, The Incredible String Band and Ennio Morricone in my ears. I sung and written songs and in a band for 8 long years. We have played several music festivals and shows here in Italy and I left this band in 2003.
“Once Upon a Time the Light through the Trees” is my first 6songs completely self produced album I sung, wrote, composed, perfomed, recorded, produced and mixed together in my small home recording studio and a little mic between september 2004 and july 2005 using acoustic classic electric and slide guitars, my harmonica honer, my wooden flute, organ, electric piano, timpanoes, snares, cymbals and various other percussions like wooden boxes and metal bottles. “Once upon a time the Light through the Trees” obtained good reviews and support from italian magazines and webmagazines MusicClub, Blow Up Magazine, RockLab.it, Rockit.it, ComunicazioneInterna.it, ImpattoSonoro.it, CoolClub.it, Comediscos.com [spanish webmagazine], Sodapop.it, MusicBoom.it from october 2005 to december 2006.
Between september 2005 and january 2006 I wrote songs, painted landscapes and created characters, drank long coffees ‘till come observing and shaping fresh tastes and new moods for the new stuff. The small room where “Once Upon a Time the Light through the Trees” was composed and recorded have been dismantled and I have prefearred go sleeping and dreaming together with mics, guitars and my home recording studio through large rooms, various friends bedrooms and gardens neighbour. New instruments joined the recording sessions like a little russian balalaika played as a percussion, a wall steiner piano, an old folk guitar, an irish bohdran, various wooden chairs and their squeakings. “Unicorns still make me feel fine” was sung, written, composed, arranged, performed, recorded, produced and mixed between february and 2006.
