The Child of A Creek

Review by Renato Massaccesi.​ ​The short biography tells of a musician "born in a small industrial town in September 1978" and the city of Sheffield comes immediately to our mind. We are very very far here from all those percussive rhythms and from all those post apocalyptic environments that have marked and that mark a way of expression. Here we are in front of a melancholy folk that reminds bands like Current 93 (Pantaleimon sings in one song here) but also we find here some relaxed atmospeheres which came out from all those 70s records that were difficult to describe as "psychedelia" or as "progressive" music. Here it seems to be transported in liquid landscapes that cross pristine lawns where is possible to see sometimes some disturbing characters ermerging from behind a tree. This just to be alert. We feel fascinated by this record that is much more than a "bucolic" record as it seems to be at first view. ​ ​​ ​​ ​​Ritual Magazine​​​, Aprile/Maggio 2012. Recensione di Renato Massaccesi.​ ​La breve biografia narra di un musicista "nato in un piccolo paese industriale nel Settembre del 1978" e, allora, viene da pensare a quegli scenari tipo Sheffield. Niente di più lontano da quei ritmi percussivi e ambientazioni post apocalittiche che segnarono, e ancora segnano, un modo di esprimersi. Qui, l'espressione è un folk venato di malinconia che ricorda gruppi del giro Current 93 (c'e' Pantaleimon in un brano), ma anche certe atmosfere rilassate che uscivano dai solchi di quei dischi anni 70 che non si sapeva mai se mettere sotto la voce "psichedelia" o "progressive". Fatto sta che in questo album sembra essere trasportati in pasesaggi liquidi che attraversano prati incontaminati, ma che di tanto in tanto lasciano intravedere qualche figura inquietante che sbuca da dietro un albero. Così, tanto per stare sempre all'erta. E tanto per farci affascinare da un disco che, sotto la patina "bucolica", nasconde molto di più. ​ ​​
