GOOD NEWS!
In recent interviews with XFM's CLINT BOON and MIKE SWEENEY, they had this to say about us.....
Clint Boon, Music:Response XFM Manchester 97.7fm :
Favourite band of 2006? The Children (an unsigned band from North Manchester). Even without the help of Paul Weller (he heard their demo at the start of the year and had them open for him at The Apollo at the end of the year) they¹re doing all the right things. Making the music they want to make, regardless of what¹s currently fashionable, keeping their heads down and grafting away, "f*ck lookin in the mirror, lets rehearse!", slowly but surely the industry is coming to them, the fans are already there, hundreds of the buggers!
Mike Sweeney, Planet Rock XFM Manchester 97.7fm:
Favourite gig of 2006? The Children at The Life Cafe. They're a local band and were supporting my band The Salford Jets (and supported Paul
Weller last month) and they were brilliant.
Paul Weller support slot
On the 27th & 28th November we supported Paul Weller at Manchester Apollo. It was a great experience and we hope to be playing venues as big at that again soon!

"I'm talking about finding a gem of a band that are just about to make huge waves on the scene and by reading this you're just about to be let in on the information". - Adam Adshed, contact music
The Children are the band nu-Manchester has been threatening to spit out
for some time, a genuine Maximum R&B band (we mean like The Who, not Jamie Foxx) who unite everyone in true rock'n'roll everyman fashion. To all
intents and purposes, the REAL Children of the revolution
David Sue Manchester Evening News May 2006
One of my favourite bands.
Clint Boon (ex Inspiral carpets)
Top F------ band John Lever ( ex Chameleons)
"Great really good , really really good, i can't believe there not
signed, sure it won't be for long"
Paul Weller 25/11/2005 Revolution 96.2fm commenting on track Labyrinth
Arguably one of the most popular unsigned bands in Manchester right now "
So many bands trot out the line that they just enjoy playing their music,
but this band clearly do. And I suspect if they were scrawny pale Americans playing exactly the same set they¹d already
have a six figure contract.

heya again we're playing jacksons pit on fri 6th of july. we're second on with the cavalry headlining. and its £3 on the door (we think) if you bring along a flier then we also get recognition for bringing people along and paid (which is REALLY needed as we're recording in 2 weeks) it'd be cool if you could come down for it. plus on the 8th of july we're playing gig4life at jabez clegg with lots of other great bands including the cassettes, the children, the fayre, and its been promoted by Damon Albern of Blur, Gorrilaz, and Good, the Bad, and the Queen. Everything on that night goes in aid of macmillen cancer research so its all for a good cause, and its cheap as chips for the value of entertainment too. love and peace thp x
