Influences
Trying to list all of our influences or bands we like would be a pointless task, but in true pointless fashion, here goes: Pixies, Groop Dogdrill, Therapy?, Smashing Pumpkins, Mclusky, The Fall, Sonic Youth, Yourcodenameis:Milo, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fugazi, Weezer, Biffy Clyro, Jetplane Landing, The Wildhearts, Helmet, Kerbdog, Dead Kennedys, Foo Fighters, Big Black, Minor Threat, Green Day, Part Chimp, Dr Dre, Death From Above 1979, Sepultura, Wire, Deftones, Minutemen, Frank Black, Jeff Buckley, Failure, PJ Harvey, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen, Queens of the Stone Age and loads more we'll add if we can ever be arsed.
Sounds Like
Ferocious, no alternative noise with dirty hooks and a touch of fuzz.
Just listen to the MP3s and make up your own mind.
The Chinaski Effect are a four-piece, no alternative punk rock band hailing from a small abandoned clay mining town called St Austell in Cornwall, UK. We have been together for about 2 and a half years in our present form but have been playing in a variety of bands with each other since we were about 13. We don't particularly have a style we aspire to but but have been loosely described as being somewhere between the Foo Fighters and Big Black. We've been gigging in Cornwall and Devon for about 2 years and have a six track demo recorded in the legendary Sawmills Studios just down the coast in Golant. We also have some sexyass tracks recorded by the man Dare Mason in the VIP lounge Penzance. We're pretty much up for gigging anywhere as long as we get some notice. Our music is pretty angry and often a bit vicious and is largely inspired by our surroundings in the clay country.

Hey Guys,
You may remember me from such places as.... school....and...the Holmbush. Caught up with you this Summer. (The photo is not really me.. Think Alice D.) Sorry I never made it so see the band in action again. Sounding great, good luck with it! See you when I return xx
Greetings from the UK's most interesting badge-maker and merchandise consortium!
Thought you might like to know that we've launched a new site, with all kinds of interesting bells and whistles.
New products for 2007 include CD duplication and embroidered patches, and as usual all of our prices include UK delivery, there aren't any set-up fees, and you can have multiple designs in the same order.
I want to see the legendary Korg in action. Not sure we're going to be able to get babysitter sorted for Clipper... We've abused the hospitality of Mrs Winter of late.
Hey ho. You should all come round for beer soon :)
