Christopher Barnes (born 19 september 1980) grew up in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and studied music and performance art at college. His music is quietly cinematic. Many of his songs consist merely of vocals accompanied by piano, which he plays himself and are recorded in his bedroom.
"Beck-like sad, sweet folkie, with a weird experimental side." - CMJ
"His sonically cinematic stylings create a foreboding sound-scape." - NEMO
"Combines Damien Rice with more piano-based influences." - NE PERFORMER
"...Sometimes sad, sometimes full of yearning, and always haunting. It’s a brave path for a young man to follow because the music, voice and even the lyrics are not what one thinks of as meaty and muscular; they are, instead, delicately beautiful." -Eleanor Lerman, poet

Just wanted to let you know that we have proudly released a new Glitch/IDM/Downtempo album by the two Scottish founders of the Section 27 netlabel, Nonima & theAudiologist, titled, 'Almost Tomorrow'. The album is a dynamically crafted work of art, with constantly mutating sounds and textures, over stuttered popping beats, with layers of intricite glitches weaving around the nostalgic melodies, creating a unique wall of sound. The release is available for free download, from our page or the link below, where the tracks can also be previewed. Just click the image to be directed to the page!
