The Chrome Wheels began in Nov. '04. Julie or "Jul" as she is called by her friends, picked up her first guitar at around 13 yrs old. Just an old, but sound, Guild. Still strummin' that very same Guild, but now adding to her ROCK-N-ROLL edge, is a Fender Stratocaster! Jul is a truely amazing vocalist as well and is not shy about emulating some of the Rock n roll greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, and many more!
After joing up as a trio act at first, then having a multitude of awsome musicians who join the fun now and then, The Chrome Wheels are now in their 4th year as a band.
In '07 "The Chrome Wheels"were selected to play on opening day of"ROT RALLY '07", THE BIGGEST BIKER RALLY IN TEXAS!!. Set up on the "Cowboy Harley Davidson" stage they made a great impression on all who were present! Now, in 2008 they were asked again to kick off the music for the day on the 2nd of 3 days of live music at R.O.T. Rally '08 at Travis County Expo Center. Many other stages in and around Austin have been graced with this soulfull and tallented act and many more are comming. After 70 shows in '07, the Chrome Wheels took a small break thru the hollidays but are now ready to hit the streets hard with a year of rock and roll and some fine, fine blues!!
Also on the schedule is finishing some recording and to release the first "all original" Chrome Wheels CD. With the help of Paul Ramsey of "Perfect Pich Productions" things are looking great!!
The Chrome Wheels have an apeal that most others strive for....great vocals..., comming from a beautuful lady,....who is a killer guitarist as well!
What a combo!
Also on board is a strong male vocalist and drummer Brandon Jolley giving harmony to the front female vocal and visual presence. All the while, keepin' a driving rythm for all the feet to stomp to! Once in a while, on the patio, strummin' some chords on the guitar so Jul can rip a lead on the guitar or mandolin.
The blusey sounds of the harmonica are added by Mark"the Harp" Eaves, a Jonestown,Tx local "renowned" harp player that has recently joined the ranks of "The Chrome Wheels"
Filling the bass slot is Dennis McCarthy, our newest member. Recently out of Las Vegas, playing the last year with a Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band and other projects with artists from Jefferson Starship.

Cool! Thanks for the invite! And, you know I like a place that I can socialize w/ adults AND corral the spawn @ the same time! Especially when it's out and about in the "real" world! Hopefully, the heathens won't have me pulled in 6 different directions and I'll be able to make it! I'll stock up on the blow-dart tranquilizers...JUST in case!
