Dominic Cifarelli's rise in the music world started as guitarist of Montreal metal band Pulse Ultra, whose 2002 debut album release Headspace earned them a slot on the second stage of the 2002 Ozzfest alongside bands such as System of A Down, Meshuggah, Ozzy Osbourne and White Zombie. Dominic was also featured on the cover of Guitar One's "The New Guitar Heroes - 10 Players You Must Know" in November of the same year.
His debut solo album "The Chronicles of Israfel," a semi-instrumental guitar masterpiece has been gaining momentum and has already received critical acclaim in britain's biggest metal magazine Metal Hammer.
Drawing influences from violent Japanese anime, the sound of the album is full of aggressive guitar driven epics showcasing Dominic's musical and songwriting talent. The diversity of sonic landscapes combined with a multiplicity of unique guitar styles, forms a truly singular sounding album.
Congrats to Dom for the ride is having with ''Scars on broadway'', if anybody noticed his behind the bass. Hope you'll get back soon to get The Chronicles on the road, see ya in MTL.
How the hell did you end up with Scars On Broadway????! I read youre confirmed to play alongside Metallica in Tuscon. Thats one hell of a gig. I hope this will be addressed in a future blog.
