Influences
Jimmy Buffett, Harry Belafonte and any artist that dips into the genre known as trop-rock: a blend of Caribbean, country and rock. We're also influenced by classic rock and party rock.
It's pretty simple, really... we love Jimmy Buffett and tropical music. Come see us live and you'll hear Jimmy Buffett classics and tropical music, not to mention some country and good ol' rock n' roll.
This band has been around for a few years -- we started in '03 and logged our 100th gig during the summer of '07. We're just hitting our stride, though. We've played every kind of bar and venue you can think of but prefer playing Parrot Head gatherings and regional festivals. We've played Alpine Valley's VIP stage the last two years when Jimmy Buffett was there as well as a host of Phlockings across the Midwest. This year we got to play phlockings for the Isle of Iowa, Dubuque Phlockers, St. Minnesomeplace, and Quad City Parrot Head Clubs. This month we got to play at the Meeting of the Minds in Key West, Fl. right on the beach and former Coral Reefer, T.C. Mitchell even sat in with us. What a dream come true! We found out in the middle of our show that Capt. Tony Terracino had passed away in the hospital right before we took the stage, so we closed out our set with "Last Mango in Paris" as a tribute to our friend and legend. Sail on Capt. Tony!
We're members of the Isle of Iowa Parrot Head Club and love to party with a purpose! Come see us some time in 2009!
