Sounds Like
Have you ever been near wrigleyville near the L...right when the train passes you, put your head and a microphone with a PA, at full volume, near the tracks...then right when the train passes, slam the microphone against the ground until the police come. The sirens of the police, the train, the PA feeback and distortion from slamming the mic...
Sounds like us.
Nate former drummer of the band exit 139, turned guitarist after their split which would lead him to a meeting w/ rockmate Erik Blum (who had been writing music his whole life, and producing it as well). Who would be just what Nate was needing and missing in music. When the two of them got together for the first time, in the now infamous Hui den. Erik showed up w/ his broken beyond repairs guitar. Nate would then hand over his Oscar Schmidt acoustic electric guitar to Erik so that he could do his thing. The rest is now history and what has now become known as Cide Project. A band that strives on writing the next great song, and nothing less. A band that together is something very unique. Hard, string-breaking guitar playing, with the powerful, emotional, and yet heart-felt voice and lryics of Nate Zaremba. A band that when u see perform live, you can feel the chemistry between the two because of there friendship off the stage and out of the spotlight. A band that when you see rockin the stage, you can feel the emotion, you can feel the heart being poured out into the music. Because that is the only way they know how to play the music that they both love.
That was Nate's side of the story...here is Erik's.
I was really plastered one night and decided to do an open Mic. When I went backstage at Durty Nellies, I saw a guy...he was really high. I said that we should practice some time. We practiced once and it sucked, there was no connection. Then we wrote One Last Look the next practice...then we wrote 13 other songs...and recorded, and performed them.
Now we are Cide Project. Nate's an alcoholic.
I'm the true reason Cide Project is so successful. Also, the large amount of alcohol consumption at our performances helps us out alot as well..
i JuST got back in town.. (havent taken anything out of my bag yet aside from my keys, and my laoptop) lost my phone in miami, sadly... but now i can devote all sorts of attention to my friends in bands :-)
yay for drummers :-)
and... bassists are a bit hard to come accross- compared to 6stringers. (i play bass.. in the comfort of my own living room) thanks for the update, and i'll let you know what i hook up in the next week or so.
Hey guys! Sorry I missed you last night!
Wish you had stayed...we had an amazing time and we went on till 2AM! The energy changes after midnight...we all become less concerned with normalcy and standard living...the air becomes crisper ( hope that's a word)and out comes our alter egos, uninhibited, ageless, timeless...we ooze with a old style jazz, dirty blues, rock and soul and everything music! Wish we could've experienced such a night together.
You guys were great last night and the new songs are so incredible...can't wait to hear "the wasp" again!
Thank you for everything last night...I can't express to you enough how special you are!

Dear Cide Project,
I love the new concept and totally ready to rock out on Indian Alternative fusion! Great performance again tonight at LL's...I feel like we are just scratching the surface of something quite incredible...the vision is there, present and resonating...the talent is dedicated and in love with all that is music...our future's, whether we travel together or apart, looks very lovely. All I know is, we were meant to meet and the rest will follow.
Thank you again for being there on that cold day a few weeks ago.
Dear Erik and Nate,
It was great working on music last night. We officially concieved our very first musical Love song opposed to Love child! And the word "Love" interpretted allegorically. It means alot to me and I appreciate the "Open Door".
Till next time.
Dearest Nate,
I gives me such joy to be considered friend...I am the one that is benefiting from our new found friendship...It is my pleasure to support you just as you both have for me. I adore both of you and both of you are very special to me. I am very lucky to have met you. Thank you.
