Elvis was my main man, as a child. Before Anyone Did Anything, Elvis Did Everything.
Joan Jett, Joan Osborne, Van Morrison, Joss Stone, Lucinda Williams, Pink, indie artists.. the list goes on...
Sounds Like
The Cinnamon Girls doing their version of some good old songs. These songs bring back a different time in our lives. A peaceful/simple time. Even the songs of war protest, sing about the love between our brothers and our sisters.
Sounds like we'd like everyone to sing along and have a great time.
I love music and playing music is the most fun I can have with my clothes on. Add an listening audience.. and I'm just so thrilled.
Being a part of a team on stage is what turns me on. When it all comes together and makes beautiful music. That's what I strive for, regardless of where I am or who I'm playing/singing with... I love music.
I will always have music in my life. Lots of other things/people come and go.
I fell in love with music so many years ago that the year is faded, but the feeling remains. I guess I'm an ol' hippie. I love CCR and Fleetwood Mac, and even older stuff. And I love Pink, she has a point to make..
I have worked many solo gigs through the years. They are fun but not the joy I get from sharing the stage.
When I met Amy Campbell at the Porch she was so shy she wouldn't even sing. . She joined my band TCG's the summer of '05. We were regulars at Skiddy's Irish Pub on Birds Creek, The Front Porch on Sundays, Sundown Saloon in Sevierville and various Moose & Elks Clubs. We went through several bass players and drummers. Most of the guys thought it funny to play with a band with the word "Girls" in it. It's hard to keep a band together. So many have come and gone. Well... onward and upward... to the heavens.
Next for the TCG's. First we will have a reunion of the Cinnamon Girls. Let's see where we want to take the 3 part harmonies. I can't wait to get going... I'm so excited. Practice! I love playing music. I will continue The Cinnamon Girls Band for many years to come. My biggest joy is sharing the stage with other talented artists/singers/songwriters.

I was actually just talking about you last night! Punky and I talked, and Carrie, and we talked about you quite a bit! I'll be there in July so hopefully we will get to meet. Would be great to be able to hear you live! Have a good one! Tomorrow is Monday again! lol
I am so glad you posted those in your blog, too! I snagged the first one earlier tonight from another blog, then went to his YouTube channel, and snagged another! hehe His songs have a special message for us all. Music gives the words so much more meaning! I wonder what has happened to the ideals of our youth? It seems many of us 'sold out' somewhere along the way.. Peace and Love, Tina
