The Clawed Frog emerged from the swamps of 48th & 7th in Spring ‘08, brought to life by the energy and talent of five experienced musicians who share a common vision of what a rock band sounds like.
Kaleidoscope, the band’s debut EP, took form and grew its subtly sharp teeth and claws at Tainted Blue Studios during the heat of this summer, coming finally into full form this Fall, to be released into the world in mid-January.
Produced by Tainted Blue’s Ali Hassan, (Wildstreet, Kacie Sheik) and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Oscar Rodriguez (Nakatomi Plaza, De La Hoya), Kaleidoscope offers 6 songs co-written and arranged with singer/ songwriter Eric Hill, (Eric Hill Band). It delivers a multi-layerd melodic, rhythmic, and poetically strong collection of true to the core rock songs with substance and intention. Powered by drummer Liam Hurley (Josh Ritter, Nakatomi Plaza) and bassist Justin Hill (Lucia Lie, Eric Hill Band) the songs explore a broad landscape of emotions and truths.
The band’s live performances bring the songs straight to the hearts and rock and roll souls of the audience with no punches pulled and no stones unturned.
