The Clear is singer/songwriter Cormac Cleary from Ireland now living in Canada.
Cormac Cleary started writing writing songs at 8 years old but it wasn't until more than ten Years later that his career in music really began.On June 24th 1976 Cormac became one of 5 sons born to what he describes as "mad Irish hippies". He spent the first 15 years of his life living in Ballincollig County Cork a small village in Ireland, before his father moved the family to Burlington Canada where more employment opportunities existed at the time.
Cormac recorded his first cd at 19 and never looked back.After playing in bands for years he decided to record his own songs.Since then he has recorded 4 ep's.
Cormac also had a song on TNT'S WITCHBLADE, along with a guest appearance.
Although he names a variety of bands from U2 , Jeff Buckley, radiohead as having impacted him, Cormac sites his father as his biggest influence of all.
"I have his records, all these Traditional Irish records. He was a musician who left home at 16 lived and played in Hamburg Germany for Years. He was always playing and singing around the house and at family gatherings.."

Well we did it.. we fought to the end!! went out on a fab high with funkyDory from london.. and just like EVERY band thats been and gone.. EVERYONE fantastic, yourself ABSOLUTELY included..
AMAZING season, and it is with thanks to ALL of the bands and performers who came over to push and support the LIVE music.. and kind of culture shock the theatre!!! Well on a good note.. we increased every show, on a down side, we are still not 'full'... but we're almost there... so, we're going again next year.. give another shot, and continue, what now, has become very very personal to both the music in general, and if every band has such high morales as everyone we have seen, then that is worth everything.. it has been refreshing, enjoyable, amazing and a real head turner to know there really is 'genuine' people left in this world, doing things from the heart, supporting each other, and WOW how good that feels, to know there is LOVE & MUSIC!!! THANKYOU SO SO SO SO MUCH.. and long may Everyone continue, with success, happiness and continued support... gosh.. listen to me.. looks like one of my 'famous' emails!! and i'll end with a plug for the new one if I may!!! www.vivaossola.org !!!
