Bio
PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE FOR UP TO DATE INFORMATION: WWW.THECOALMINERS.CO.UK THE COALMINERS The only band in the UK to fully dedicate themselves to the New Orleans Soul and Funk sound, the Coalminers have only been going for a year or so, but already have built up a rep off the back of their super-tight sets of authentic Swamp Soul! They also boast the same horn section used by Dr. John when he visits these shores. Taking in the likes of Lee Dorsey, Professor Longhair, Allen Toussaint, The Meters, Eddie Bo and the like, the 'miners are keeping things '60s and 70's, Crescent City style! The band is made up of some of the finest musicians in London who, as well as leading their own successful projects, have worked with: Dr John, Bernard Purdie, Mark Ronson, Earl Thomas, Jamie Cullum, Mose Allison, Supergrass, Micheal Bolton, Madness, The Streets, Jarvis Cocker, Paul Desmond, Amy Winehouse, Basement Jaxx, Dizee Rascal, Ronnie Scott’s house band, Georgie Fame, The Puppini Sisters, The James Taylor Quartet and The Jerry Haglund Blues Sensations, amongst others. Band members have performed at prestigious venues and festivals throughout the UK and the World, including Glastonbury and Montreux as well as many TV and radio shows. For more info on this fine gathering of musical talent, feel free to click on band members links on 'The Coalminers friend space' below. -

Hi, pleasure to be your friend!
We just want to make you aware of our affordable and artist friendly recording studio. We're based centrally in Shoreditch, East London and offer high quality recording/mixing/mastering at exceedingly low prices. Just £20 per hour or £150 a day. We also offer block-booking deals that make it even cheaper. With our level of experience and quality of equipment this is very good value. Songwriting and production assistance is also available.
Get in touch if you'd like to book, or just to have a chat.

Hi The Coalminers
Danke / Thanks
for voting for us here:
You helped us to get to rank 18 (as per today - from 810!!)!
Now we only need a few more votes to get to the TOP 8 -
and get ourselves a nice gig!
And just in in case you did not already vote, please give us these 2 minutes and do it here!
Und für die Bluesfans, die zuwenig Englisch verstehen:
es geht einfach darum, dass wir soooo gerne diesen Open-Air-Gig kriegen würden.
Und dafür brauchen wir jetzt noch DEINE STIMME! Danke. - Zoltan Orkestar3 years agoHello from Albuquerque!
