A recent renaissance has begun in which business sense, true creativity and consciousness is valued over tales of indulgence or street living. Staying true to the same formula with which they've been making music for the last ten years is the most polished group under the radar - SammyDimes and Rob Incredible, collectively known as The Co-Champs. The first thing that separates The Co-Champs from the usual artists is the fact that they're identical twins. Having grown up with each-other their whole lives gives them the ability to blend on tracks in a way that has never been done. The harder edged braggadocio of SammyDimes (a.k.a. The President) is balanced by the lyrical dexterity and unorthodox style of Rob Incredible (a.k.a. The Man of the Year) to create a unique sound that is full of struggle and triumph, joy and pain - what hip-hop is supposed to be. The next quality that separates The Co-Champs from other artists is their upbringing. Raised in a home that valued education as a tool for advancement, both of them have bachelors degrees- SammyDimes in English and Rob Incredible in History - and while RI is a high school history teacher, SD is a manager of two car dealerships - game and hustle. This advantage helps them to explore topics beyond those that have been done and overdone in hip-hop. While comparisons are not on what The Co-Champs desire to base their career, having grown up with hip-hop literally - born in 1979 - Dimes & Incredible have developed with the music and the culture. They cite influences on their music as all of those that truly shined in their age - be it gold or platinum - from RUN DMC to Jay-Z and back to N.W.A. and EPMD. With a sound that has been cultivated with the classic 80's R&B and soul that they heard throughout their lives and the music that they've chosen to create since high school, The Co-Champs are prepared to change hip-hop for the better.
