About The Collards

The Collards (Formerly Katch) formed in October 2005 when Jimi joined Jay, Jon, Mike and Neil to complete the Five Piece. With a successful gigging History in places such as the Cavern and Jacksons Pit, Katch made their mark as one of the better Live acts around.

2 years on and due to other commitments, Bassist Mike left the band. Although the band were disheartened by this they carried on. Jimi’s brother Dan had been writing songs and being Katch’s guitar tech since Jimi joined the band. So Katch chose Dan to replace Mike.

Now the band have changed their name to The Collards after a piano in their practise room. The Collards intend to carry on gigging out and about the UK and hopefully some one will recognise them.

I'm into indie kinda music. favourite bands; the wombats (appearing in melbourne in a few weeks Im very excited I got tickets:) the kooks, the hoosiers, little man tate, cut off your hands. lol and of course the collards.. haha yeahh unforchunantly Mcfly are becoming a hit down here. They appear on our cable tv. plus they were on that shitty linsday lohan movie. My friend is like obsessed. They are not my cup of tea.. nobody can rip off Busted! Haha Camping sounded like so much fun! Except I would have been with my mum because all my friends were back in Aus haha.. I see my friend Lachie added you. He's a cool guy. Haha I'm pretty much plugging you down under. You'll be the new McFly before too long! xx

Audience: silence haha smooth! I saw lots of great bands playing Saturday. Little man tate were fantastic, so were Babyhead and Bowling For Soup were quite good. We also went to London and I saw Jason Mraz, he was amazing! did you all camp there? It looked like lots of fun but my cousins wedding was on Friday and we left first thing Sunday so Saturday was all I could see :( xx

Not really, my cousin was getting married so my family decided to make a holiday out of it. I was hoping to see some good bands and I was very forchunate to be around when the Guilfest was on. Unforchunantly I only got to go Saturday. Haha I noticed he looked shy playing on stage, pity he doesn't talk. So which Collard am I lucky enough to be talking to here? x
