Voted as one of the top 32 Nationwide Artists in 2007 CMT Music City Madness Video Promotion, it's understandable why they play to sold-out shows in Atlanta, Nashville, Washington DC, Richmond, Myrtle Beach, Knoxville, Mobile and Chattanooga.
Whether you see them on stage with Nashville "Heavyweights" like Montgomery-Gentry and Ronnie Milsap, or headlining on the club and festival circuit, you will remember when you have seen and heard a Collins Brother's show! Their energetic blend of sibling harmony, showmanship and stage appeal is a favorite of people all over the Southeast.
What began as a simple dream of brothers Joe and Cory Collins has turned into a music career of packed venues and enthusiastic fans. Though they have had no formal or classical training in music, their sheer natural talent and love of entertaining has driven them beyond their own expectations.
After beginning as an acoustical act (Joe on Guitar and Cory on Harmonica), fans quickly let them know that they had something special. As the crowds and venues grew, so did the band. "We added one piece at a time over about a six month period, trying to compliment what we were already doing. People were asking for more so we gave em' more. The next thing we knew, we were booked as the opening act for the legendary Gene Watson and a packed house at The Governor's in Chattanooga, TN. We've been rolling ever since!"
While the brothers bleed country through their original offerings, the make-up of the entire band permits a blend of several styles. These "Blue-eyed" guys can do it all! The band's top-notch musicianship, songwriting and stage presence allows them to be a very diverse and exciting band!
As imagined, influences run wild through this group. Alabama, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mellencamp, Merle Haggard, Eagles, George Jones, Steely Dan, George Strait and Charlie Daniels are just a few of the wide array of musical heroes.
The Collins Brothers have shared the stage with such legends as Ronnie Milsap, T. Graham Brown, Earl Thomas Conley, Gene Watson, John Anderson, John Conlee and Billy Joe Royal. They have also played with many of today's Nashville stars like Andy Griggs, Darryl Worley, Jessica Andrews, Montgomery-Gentry, Jimmy Wayne, Aaron Tippin, Trick Pony, Confederate Railroad and Charlie Robison.
Their goals are simple; "We want to be the best that we can be! Just show us to the stage, say 'when' and hold on!"
