SURFACE UNSIGNED :
Coming together from London and Northern Ireland and led by vocalist DC Logan, The Colourcode closed the night with delirium. Logan’s voice is a scorching affair, switching between falsetto and full-blown harmony with seamless ease. Using effects pedals to add a definite echo, the entire set had a haunting, eerie quality as guitars and drums swirled with an off beat and stilted quality that had you constantly guessing where they’d go next. There was nothing formulaic here; rather they were architects of a mystifying and engrossing sound that pitched aggression against tenderness and ideas against flair.
BARFLY _ CORRUPT EVENTS : "The Colourcode were probably the biggest surprise of the night, putting out more energy in their Placebo-meets-Tool style set than an evironment-destroying 100W lightbulb"
THE BULL AND GATE : "With Charasmatic, swooping vocals and sculptural tune craft they dive from Radioheaded, pained and reaching tales to some serious Rock fever, it'll be a show you're glad you saw."
B&G : "fiercely fresh eccentric space race funktronica rock!"

Hey guys, good luck with the show tonight. It really sucks to not be able to go over and see ye one last time, but I'm sure ye'll have a great night even without me!
Dedicate a song to us poor bastards that can't make it.
hello the CC wassup? thanks again for being great and the night at the bull and gate. I'll see you at the 1st for a fukin last gig!! We'll drink to that loads of guiness!! LOVE from Snailland
Shit man, sorry to hear about the demise of The 'Code. You guys rocked! As for The 'Skins, we were indeed in the studio again with a new tune birthed nicely in there(horrible analogy, I know. Apologies). Anyway, I think John sent ya over some of our stuff for a listen, so hope ya like what you hear. Hi to the rest of the band (and Owen),
K.
P.S. I'm afraid I've tried a few times to download that video of you and Bird off the bridge, but no dice. Sorry bud, someday...
nice one mate, thanks so much for sorting the night, looking forward to the next one, you guys still going your seperate ways after the next gig, big big shame dude!! anyways thanks again russ, nixa
Hey , the code, really looking forward to the succio gig, we have one at the fly if your about
Our first show following 3 months of writing takes place at The Fly, New Oxford Street on November 11th. It's an industry showcase promoted by Mean Fiddler and backed by Rock Sound Magazine. El Caco are flying in from Norway to play on the night. We'll be letting some new material loose! It'd be grand if you can make it.
XFM Review
I'm not totally at home with Rock (that has no extreme soppy/angry emo leanings), but have heard enough to know that this is it done very, very well. Deep, powerful voice, BIG music and just the feeling that something very professional is happening -I don't mean in a clinical way, just in that way that, when you find out they're unsigned, it's a bit of a shock. I'd be very surprised if they didn't massively pull it off live.
Father give me the Bull of Heaven, So he can kill Gilgamesh in his dwelling. If you do not give me the Bull of Heaven, I will knock down the Gates of the Netherworld, I will smash the doorposts, and leave the doors flat down, and will let the dead go up to eat the living! And the dead will outnumber the living!
yea songs are class and really enjoyed the album aswell!!! cool whenever ye'r over again give us a shout if ye need support or anything, we'd b trilled to play wit ye again.
Hi Mike, sorry I couldn't make it to the Water Rats on Wednesday. Fucking Domestic Nightmare. Will we see u at the Bull and Gate tonight? Cheers, Glenn
It was great to see you guys last week, man its been to long.(Mike - I could have stayed for hours and talk music bud lol)
Just wanted to say awesome CDs boys, been listening to both non-stop since I got back home. Loving the ambient feel of the Album and the straight ahead flair of the E.P.
Looking forward to catching up again and hearing more.
