Demo reviews
Sounds like the sort of tunes Sonic Youth used to make before their creativity crumbled to pointless self-indulgence... A requiem to dead-end suburban lifestyles, with zigzagging drums and sharp guitar lines peppering the melodies with a Cure-tinged claustrophobia. Whoever says geek can’t be chic needs to swiftly revise their opinions - Metro
Very DIY-Garage; it works really well... Good stuff indeed - Sohostruts.co.uk
Obscure, feisty electro-punk... Like a couple of kids who’ve unwrapped a Smiths album and a Casio keyboard on Christmas morning, indulged in too much of their selection box and presented the end result to their pissed parents as they watch the Queens speech... [Cut My Hair has] an ace, pissed-off punk riff matched with a tale of scenesters wearing ripped jeans - The Crack (Nov ’06)
Crazily lo-fi... Just really great... Very very fine indeed - James Clark, BBC Radio Newcastle
The Colt .45s = the finest demo I’ve received in 2007. Love it, love it, love it! - Filthy Little Angels
The Colt .45s chant over a broken break-beat...Clang! Clang! Clang! Butter wouldn’t melt in their dirty little mouths... The kind of record that all the crap record labels wouldn’t touch with someone else’s stick. That’s what being truly independent is all about: taking risks! - trakMARX
Live reviews
The Colt .45s would probably be more at home playing in a sweaty underground warehouse at 3am. Whilst not the most popular band this night, their loud lashings of electro-punk make them the most interesting. The apathetic ferocity of What A Difference may as well be directed at their less than perfect PA, as they proceed topple amps and fling mics with abandon -NARC
The band blast straight into a set of electro fused shouty punk. Dance beats clatter into pop moments, punk attitude meets battered Casio keyboard melodies... Playing their unique brand of pop; it’s a catchy lo-fi pop which is shining out in a stagnating indie-centric north-east scene - The Crack (June ’07)
Fast making a name for themselves in the North East scene; programmed electro beats meets DIY punk. Catchy shouty vox, and the short sharp electro punk is an exciting proposition. The crowd loved them as they ripped into their hits. They stand out in a boring North scene with their progressive attitude to genres and their lack of boundaries - Badrobot.co.uk
...Like The Yeah Yeah Yeahs playing Fisher Price toys - Cherry Bomb Disco
Richard was blown away by the talent on show which included The Colt .45s - The Evening Chronicle
The Colt .45s have been ripping up the north east music scene... Not to be missed by any music lover - Scenesters.co.uk

"Telos is clearly not here to hand out sweets. ...a collection of experimental snapshots from one possible future, a dark meditation that just might be about the enslavement of mankind by machines or the dislocation of urban communities in the 21st Century. ...Ace. Doom-laden electronica, dissonance and fractured vocals." - narc. Magazine
Hope you're all well :) Could we have a really mint chilled out night when I get back? Music and Beer and Chat in a garden somewhere. Best of luck with your upcoming gigs and festivals! Oh and are you all going to Leeds Fest?
Bought the album the other daym can't wait for it to arrive. My speakers need to experience a bit more clatter-pop I think! (oh, and Anne-marie's vox rock! IT's a lie, IT's a lie, IT's a lie!)
