Something so familiar that you swear you've never heard it before.
The Common Anomaly was officially conceived on October 13th, 2007. A musical project designed around a fusion of diverse musical influences that are passed through our collective cerebral cortex and redirected in the general direction of your eardrums.
TCA is built upon the strong foundation of its rhythm section, made up of drummer Erik Arhelger (Velosheen) and bassist James Arhelger (Sixpence None the Richer, Velosheen, Fatty Monk). The style of guitarist Mark McNutt (Fatty Monk) provide tones ranging from the experimental to the familiar. Polishing off the sound of this group are the powerful vocals of lead singer Brandon Ercoline (Fatty Monk), who can summon incredible range and feeling from a seemingly endless supply of energy and vocal inspiration.
In addition to playing the occasional show, TCA is working on a self produced full length album that will be out early next year.
