...so we’re putting a stop to it right here!
TCMC have now finished, for all sorts of different reasons, many of which relate to having 10 people in one band! We played our last gig on Saturday 29 November 2008, at The Oakford in Reading. Sorry to those of you who missed the show, and thanks to you who made it down, it was both a fun and sad evening.
Peace
TCMC.
TCMC are a collective of eleven musicians who combine their eclectic tastes of funk, hip-hop and soul to create a sound of their own.
Their unique style and engaging live performance has already seen them play numerous sell out gigs, including appearances at the London Astoria, Oxford's Zodiac and all over the South East. Keen festival goers will have noticed the band starting to make their mark on the UK’s festival scene, with appearances at: Sunrise Celebration, Hamswell Festival (as headliners), Urban Action, and Windsor’s Freestyle Weekend. Their live achievements and energetic show has cemented TCMC’s place as one of the UK’s foremost live hip hop crossover acts.
The TCMC sound has sparked the interest of radio stations across the UK including regular airplay on; BBC Berkshire, Green Apple, BBC Manchester & Phonic FM (Exeter).
The Common Moral Cause have performed with the likes of up and coming turntable soul band Belleruche and Annie Mac’s recently tipped live break band Bloco Electro. Members of TCMC have performed along side, and shared bills with major acts, including; The Hoosiers, Beastie Boys, Dhol Foundation and Easy All Stars. Hip-Hop Connection magazine recently put Mole, TCMC’s MC, in their top 10 playlist.
“…their eclectic combination of Hip-Hop, Drum'n'bass, funk, latin and jazz guarantees a great night out.“ Graham Steel Windsor Arts Centre
“… it's easy to get captivated by the beautiful tones of the lead vocalist, the rap from the second vocalist, the enigmatic three piece brass section and the strong drum, bass, keys and guitar. The dual vocals work superbly well. The audience falls totally for the Cause. “ Review on www.emergenzauk.co.uk
“Innovative and Original are words that are commonplace and over-used in an industry littered with legal plagiarising from pretentious imitators. The Common Moral Cause, however, are both innovative and original…“ Pete Price Route 66
“Imagine the Black Eyed Peas meets the Brand New Heavies – only louder!“ BBC Radio Berkshire
