THE COMPANY was created in 1993. The goal: to produce the original play scripts that were eventually made into feature films and major motion pictures. We present live theatre as a viable alternative to a night watching television or going to the movies. The reason: to get the couch potato off the sofa and into the theatre!
In 2002, Artistic Director Damian Gillen toured throughout Texas with our production of a one-man A Christmas Carol called "BAH HUMBUG!" With this production we broadened the artistic focus of The Company Theatre and began our Educational Outreach Program, bringing inspirational adaptations of classic literature as live stageplays, touring to schools, churches & theatres all over Texas. BAH HUMBUG alone has been seen by over 20,000 people in less than five years!
In 2007, The Company dreamed up The Dinnerbox series... teaming up with Ruben's Cafe' in San Antonio, we provide an affordable dinner theatre event in an intimate setting at an affordable price. The Company Theatre brings live theatre to you! To your restaurant, your church, your home. We produce inspiring comedies (& the occasional drama) in unique environments, not just in a theater setting. These are Special Events, not just "plays." We have performed in such unique venues as movie theaters, Prison Ministries, many Church Fundraisers, schools, gymnasiums, gazebos, back yards, a barn and dinner-theatres all across Texas. In 2007 we have performed "Charlottes Web" on a real working farm.
What we have with The Company is a critically-acclaimed and audience-tested production company. We have talented actors and technical staff dedicating their time, talents and efforts into high quality productions.

The Survey results are in and the audience has decided our 2009-2010 Dinnerbox Series!!! The Company celebrates over 15 years of touring Texas - presenting live theatre in your favorite local restaurants. Partnering with various restaurants, such as Orderup, Los Cucos, El Chaparral, Panchito's and of course our flagship restaurant: LITTLE ITALY - The Company offers dinner & show combos and family-friendly comedies, at an affordable price...it is the best deal in town!
We offer a wide variety of ticketing options with our flexible season pass. A flex-pass lets you decide how many & where you would like to see our shows...four tickets to one show or one ticket to four shows... you decide!
In addition, we have our Educational Outreach Touring Program that brings live theatre to schools & community centers as well as our Munchbox Matinee Series that brings our kids shows to local restaurants on Saturday mornings!
