ConCoCtion can’t place the music to a particular genre, but they have started calling what they do: ‘Nuclear Fusion’ as they try to give the listener something different with each song while keeping it simple at the same time.
With Brandon's soulful singing and sonorous trumpet work that help carry each song along when most bands would rely on a guitarist. Add in Kevin's up style and funky bass playing. Combine that with David's rhythmic and free flowing drum work and one can begin to understand the true nature of ConCoCtion.
The band wants to make sure that each show is a memorable one and each patron gets his or her money’s worth. In turn, ConCoCtion is not afraid to share the stage with any band of any genre.
Through ConCoCtion select shows, They have graced the stage with Barsial Guns, The A Game, Pax Romana, Catfish Whiskey, Leo Madriz, The Axes Of Evil, A Soup Named Stew, Sick Like Sinatra!, The House Harkonnen, Jack Fate, Cohen & The Ghost, Bones!, The Blue Hit, Torn 'N Frayed, Epic...just to name a few.
Not only has ConCoCtion played with some great local bands they have played at some great venues in the Baton Rouge and Lafayette area... from North Gate Tavern, The Spanish Moon, Insommkneeack's (as well as plenty of private parties) in Baton Rouge to Artmosphere, Caffe Cottage and Renaissance Night Club in Lafayette.
Recently, ConCoCtion is working on new material and is preparing to record their debut album with The Building Studios.
Previous EPs include ‘Marshmellows and Beer’ 4 tracks recorded at Padded Cell Studios in March 2007 and the other 2 previously recorded at Kevin’s Garage in October 2006.

Sad to hear that theend is near. I understand though that yall have to do what yall have to do. I am going to try my very hardest to make it out there to the show. It will be depressing but I will try and hold the tears back. Yall had an awsome run while it lasted.
Man, we'd love to play a show with you guys. It would be hard to play on any other day than a friday night or a saturday (our drummer lives in New Orleans), but if you've got a day/place let us know. We'll be sure to do the same.
