It's to bad punk had to die. But what really happened is Rick Astley. And beyond that it didn't really die. It just transformed. It had to grow. In the beginning the punks didn't know how to play their instruments. Then after a brief couplla years they really wanted to continue with music so they figured, shit, I better learn how to play this guitar/bass/drums if I wanna stay this course. So punk didn't die...punk grew up. Everyone knows that. Well consider The Contingency, as Refused put it, the shape of punk to come.
