With a repertoire that includes hit songs from the last 5 decades, The Convertibles is an act that is sure to please most everyone.
"A Little Bit
Of Everything - Something For Everyone" , is the band's motto, and it couldn't be more true.
The band covers a wide variety of material: Classic Rock, Hot Country and Southern Rock, Funk, Blues, Soul; even a few "Golden Oldies".
This band has been kicking ass and taking names since they burst on the Houston live music scene almost 8 years ago. Originally formed by Jeff Hale, over the years a multitude of players have come and gone. The Convertibles has grown by leaps and bounds and the band feels that at this point they have a great chemistry!
A favorite and requested act all over town, The Convertibles have appeared at many local clubs as they continue to build a loyal following and fan base.
The band owes part of its success to the overall musical excellence of the players, part to the excellent choice and variety of material (ever sat through a night of all your favorite songs?) and part to their ability to win over the crowd and draw them into the performances, often times even including various audience members on stage with the band.
The current Convertibles line-up features
Jeff Hale on Lead Guitar. Electric Violin and Vocals, BC Anagnostis (formerly with "Fuzzy Side Up") on Bass Guitar and Vocals and well-known Houston Drummer Rex Ramirez.
A good portion of every Convertibles' show consists of the virtuosic violin pyrotechnics of Jeffro The Fiddlemaster. Performing such songs as "Voodoo Child", "American Woman" and "When The Levee Breaks" on Electric Violin, Jeffro and The Convertibles are breaking new ground and shattering old ideas about what a 3 piece band can do.
With an extremely cool songlist of over 1000 hit songs as well as a few catchy originals, The Convertibles are an act that is sure to please and guaranteed to put a smile on everyone's face!
