Cosche earned his DJ apprenticeship at the famous Caledonia in Liverpool. Referenced at one point as "coolest pub in Britain" by the Daily Mirror because of its bohemian culture. Plenty of homegrown talent appeared on the decks such as Yousef, Ladytron, Brendan Long and Dom Chung. He was taken under the wing of North West scratch master Johnny1Move and made headway on Liverpool’s underground scene . Along with Graduating from the Manchester Midi School his then Magik Kingdom outfit engineered projects for several resident DJs from the local circuit. This lead to his productions being play listed on local radio stations along with being heard in clubs such as Cream, Bugged Out and Chibuku.
He dabbled with promotion receiving critical acclaim for Butane, at the time Liverpool’s only Breakbeat club. Butane occasionally received DJ Mags Top Night mostly down to his ability to book the future stars of the scene. Butane was the first to bring acts such as Atomic Hooligan, Splitloop, Rogue Element, The Breakfastaz and Future Funk Squad to the city. There were regular appearances from big hitters such as A-Skillz, Elite Force and the legendary Utah Saints. Along with a short club tour Butane had the honour of hosting in spiritual home Brighton, again bringing another exclusive in Canadian superstar Myagi.
Cosche has appeared under many guises at club nights like Aztec, Chibuku, Cream and supported some of electronic stalwarts such as Phil Keiran, Dj Rolando, Rennie Pilgrem, Oliver Ho and Stacey Pullen.
Since the gradual demise of Butane, he has launched the first all-live electronica monthly, Sinewerks at Zanzibar. In 2007 he signed up to Zutons record label Deltasonic and remixed their electro outfit Tigerpicks.
The new Elevator Studios is due to house his future collaborations along with DJs Mr Paul, James Rand and Ian Hutchinson as project manager.
