Recorded at Birdland Studios, Dung Australia was released on 9 June and is the band’s first release following the tragic loss of guitarist Robbie ‘Rocket’ Watts.
With Johnny Onya taking over guitar duties, Dung Australia reeks of the balls-out, grunged-up punk rock the Psychos pioneered.
The Cosmic Psychos released their first album in 1987, and have been tearing up stages around Australia and the world ever since. Arguably one of the most influential bands of their time, the Psychos have influenced many of their better-known contemporaries including Mudhoney, Pearl Jam and even The Prodigy, who incidentally based their track ‘Feel My Fire’ on the Psycho’s own ‘Lost Cause’.
With the release of Dung Australia this June, the Cosmic Psychos remain as raw, spirited and vital today as they ever were. Catch Melbourne's rock royalty at a venue near you for an experience you won’t forget!
It's going to be a monster four band pile up on highway 666 as Vultures of Venus crash into the Birmingham on Thursday the 3rd of Dec. Their debut LP which is now available through I-Tunes has been receiving strong support and favorable reviews from local radio RRR, PBS and Syn Fm. It will also be available in hard copy on the night. This gig is gonna be fun, fun, fun on the Smith st autobahn. Armed with big rock riffs and blazing electrified keys this is the Vultures first show since their sellout LP Launch. This is a band with a plan; and that plan is to make you do the Can Can. Joining them on the night is Mirrorhouse Antics whos live show is a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and The Stooges. They have just released their debut album, recorded at Bakehouse by Mikey from Eddie Current Suppression Ring. Dan Webb's 60's styled Hammond infused insanity is gonna be something to look out for as well as the 'Wise Flys' : they'll make you laugh they'll make you cry, they'll make you laugh about crying. And don't forget to look out for the crazy clown pinyada filled with burning flesh and give away fun toys for the kids. This is a B.Y.O "leotard friendly event ". So pour yourself into your favorite and come on down !!!
In our tragic and misguided bid to relive past glories, drink far to much for men of our age and stay up way past our bedtimes Decline of the Reptiles will once again be gracing the stages of Sydney for some middle aged mayhem. Our first appearance is that rock god staple - THE IN STORE APPEARANCE - at Allan's music in the city at 3pm Friday the 6th of November where we'll be simultaneously playing every instrument in the store for what promises to be a very special 30 minutes.
After that we have the pleasure of putting our disco jive togs on to play with the Hitmen in both of their two rare appearances at the Sando in Newtown on the 20th and 21st of November. This will be just like old times, only a bit chubbier and with less hair - well at least on our scones anyway. Better see some of you guys at one of these.
We thank you for the add. We’re just a small band, but we’d be delighted if you listened to our Garage Rock songs and you sent us any kind of comment!! If u couldn’t we’ll be happy if you just let this comment be shown, so that ur fans & friends get to know us. ☠
