   About The CosmoSonics

Formed in the spring of 2006, The CosmoSonics rocked the northeastern United States relentlessly until the band played it’s last show in February 2009. The band was comprised of Gary D’Grave (vox & guitar), Chaz Zalapski (guitar & backup vox), Harrison Dray (bass), and Angel O (drums & backup vox)..Dray was replaced by Rocky Lamonde (bass) in April 2008. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, the band spread their rock’n’roll noise-pollution to New York City, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Buffalo, Baltimore, Washington DC, Detroit, Cincinnati, Columbus, Rochester, Akron, Allentown, and everywhere in between.

May of 2007 saw the release of “Junk Rock…For Lovers”, an unapologetic ROCK record, full of glam rock hooks and punk rock snarl, set to a hard rock blues structure that recalls the glory days of Cheap Trick, New York Dolls, and Aerosmith. The band spat this sound directly in the face of the modern mega-selling, mega-boring formulas that currently pass as rock’n’roll. The CD saw excellent reviews from the international Classic Rock Magazine & killer local reviews in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The band planned to release the follow-up to “Junk Rock…” in the spring of 2009; however, the band split. The follow-up, titled “Another Sinister Delight”, shows the band returning to its signature sound. However, the band incorporated many more influences while writing this CD, and this record showcased the band’s obvious musical growth. The biggest disappointment involved with the band’s demise was the fact that “Another Sinister Delight” will never see the light of day…there is some KILLER material included on this record.

The CosmoSonics had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many cool local and regional bands, plus, the following national acts…Enuff Z’Nuff, Crash Kelly, Trashlight Vision, The Erotics, Crimson Sweet, the Sex Slaves, and Turbo ACs.

You boys have to find a way to release the new CD.

OH NO!!! Say it ain't sooooooo! This always happens to me. For example... I stopped watching Saturday Night Live because I work all the time, then all my favorites LEAVE! First Will Ferril and now the CosmoSonics!??? It can't be all she wrote, or is it???! PLEASE DO KEEP US POSTED PLLLLLLLLLLEEEASE!

Oh wow... sigh... You will always be missed!
I still rock out so hardcore to your C.D. Junk Rock for Lovers! And I still wear the shirt (the one with the bat, it says something like sweet and nasty something awesome), although I did modify it to soothe the summer heat last year, just pumped up the sexy a lil...

But alas... united or divided I wish you all so very well!
