  • Influences

    The Courage is a one man band. After being a drummer in different bands for a lot of years I wanted to see what I could do by myself in the studio. I write, produce and perform the songs myself, with some help from a few other musicians. The result is a mix of things. A mix of acoustic new wave and electro, a mix of funky rythms and melodic pop tunes, a mix of dark honesty and light humour. I’ve been compared with old artists like Talking Heads and David Bowie, and new artists like LCD Soundsystem and TV on the radio. The lyrics for the songs on my first album describes my own metaphysical universe where I use symbols from eastern philosophy, Jungian psychology and noir movies, to tell the story of a small guy lost in a big city full of confused people. ....
