Born on a small arched stage somewhere underneath Liverpool, England, The Courds (also known as Brandon Schott and Steven Wilson) are not out to conquer the world - they simply wish to secure enough income from their catchy pop harmonies to replace the rug in Steven's home (you'd have to have seen it, it really tied the room together). And perhaps buy a few pints of Guinness along the way. That's not to say that their musical aspirations are not grandiose, simply take a listen to any of the tracks in the above media playe........right, well as soon as they get sober up and get something recorded, you here at the space will be the first to know. Rest assured, however, that their debut EP, "1st Recourd" is coming early 2008 and it is------will be brilliant! In the mean time, you can catch them in the greater Los Angeles area - gigging from time to time, but more likely loitering at Karma Coffeehouse quoting the Big Lebowksi and arguing over the merits of the new McCartney record. And of course, in their spare time - creating the greatest pop masterpieces of our lifetime - like the pizza shop on the corner of Brand and Lexington in Glendale that boasts the "WORLD'S BEST PIZZA". The Courds really are that good.
