THE COWBOY ANGELS pay tribute to the vision and musical legacy of the late great GRAM PARSONS, who died 35 years ago this year.
They live in Antwerp, Belgium and consist of members and ex-members of THE BELIEVERS, THE SEATSNIFFERS (rootsmeisters in their own right; also the European backing band for the likes of Wanda Jackson, Barrence Whitfield and Jason Ringenberg), FLIP KOWLIER, REEF RIDER, THE WHODADS, RAWHIDE, THE IDEAL HUSBAND, ADMIRAL FREEBEE and PHILIPPE COHEN- SOLAL'S THE MOONSHINE SESSIONS .
Together they explore the wonderful world of roots music, countrysoul, psychedelic pop, bluegrass, folk, gospel and transcendental rock 'n' roll, with a focus on vocal harmonies. An album is in the works.

Gisteren tranen in mijn ogen gekregen bij The Return Of The Grievous Angel, zo mooi was het.
Verder had het wel wat meer rock'n'roll mogen zijn - met staanplaatsen, bekertjes pils en een dansvloer ipv die tribune met pluche zetels van het cultureel centrum. Mijn reet deed verdomme zeer als het gedaan was.

qua country-achtigen kwam ik niet verder dan de The Mavericks en had ik eerlijk gezegd nogal wat vooroordelen (nochtans niet zo van mijn gewoonte wat muziek betreft), maar jullie hebben me bij deze zowaar bekeerd! Waarvoor dank!
Wat een concert in Gent laatstleden!!! Sjiek stuff!!! Boeiend van de eerste tot de laatste noot. Mij zie je zeker nog terug voor jullie podium.
