Our website has way more info that we could ever put here, including a dudey session calculator to see how many monies you might be looking at spending. Check it at thecrashfactory.com

The Crash Factory: A Really Good Studio in Nottingham
Welcome to the Crash Factory... a brand new recording studio placed strategically in the Lace Market area of Nottingham City Centre. We refuse to pander to trends and fads in music and the recording industry, trusting only our ears (and sometimes our eyes) to tell us what sounds good. All our equipment is top notch, our engineers are experienced, knowledgeable 'people' people, and our service is efficient, enjoyable and - honestly - really, really good.

The Crash Factory comprises several pro-designed rooms: a pentagonal-shaped Control Room offering a perfectly flat listening environment; a Live Room with changeable surfaces (from bright and reflective to clean and intimate) and an isolated, 'Dead Room' to record vocals and acoustic guitar with no room sound or to isolate guitar and bass amps from a drum kit. Our awesome recording gear includes Neumann, Shure and Blue mics, Super-accurate Genelec 1031a monitor speakers, and the frankly incredible 32-channel AMEK console that was custom-made in 1976 for Iron Maiden. It toured with Maiden for 20 years before being used to mix a few of their plentiful albums and eventually it arrived here (although it did take six of us an hour to get it up the stairs...)

Our staff are all gigging and recording musicians, with the experience of a thousand nightmare studio sessions to learn from, together with a wealth of positive recording know-how - Engineers here have learned their craft from the guys who have made albums by Feeder, The Pixies, Athlete, Nirvana, Biffy Clyro, Page & Plant and a gazillion more. They know sound.

At The Crash Factory you can have a whole day of recording for just £160 - Check out other comparible studios (and other rubbish studios) and you'll see this isn't an offer you can turn down lightly. On top of this ludicrous price, if you book three days of recording with us, we'll chuck the fourth one in for absolutely nothing. Nothing! Check the website for dates and details.

Check out the songs on our player to see who's been taking advantage of our awesome sound over the last few months. Give us a call or an email to chat about what we can offer you and your own, unique sound.
