If you haven’t seen or heard Melbourne band The Cravings before you may be wondering, why? Here is a band that has worked hard to have a polished tight performance and while most bands have a bevy of ‘album’ songs and one or two commercial ones made for the masses, The Cravings have gone against the conventional and produced a range of catchy anthems. It’s hard to say what it is about The Cravings music that has you unwittingly tapping your foot, humming to yourself or nodding your head. What I can say is that when you find yourself doing one of these things, it’s not long before you realise you’re not just one in a crowd...the person next to you, and everyone else for that matter is doing the same. The melodies are infectious and the choruses swirl around in your head well after the fix. This five piece band has certainly earned a spot amongst the cd/mp3 collection. -

Sounds Like
A sound that is distinctly they’re own smooth heavy riffs on one side, mellow clean vibes on the other, a thumping sweet bass blending the two together. Not forgetting the superb beats from their very cool drummer and the dynamic energetic vocals from singer Fi. The Cravings have an indie edge with commercial appeal. Style is a contentious topic as The Craving’s songs have been compared to the ‘No Doubt’ punk, Ska, alternative rock sound...then as a complete contrast, also compared to the Go Go’s hooky fun girl pop rock.
Bio
The Cravings music is infectious, melodic, classic commercial rock with an indie edge... and damn catchy! Each track will grab the attention of any ear and inject the listener with melodies that will have them humming to themselves long after their first experience, and then craving for more. You will walk away feeling on top of the world.
With regular gigs including support gigs for Cassette Kids and Calling All Cars and a growing fan base, all five members are excited to be launching their EP soon.
The Cravings music has featured on episodes of reality television shows including England’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Australia’s Ultimate School Musical.
