There has been recent interest in The Creature Comforts lately as a result of it's members newer bands, Blackpool Lights and The Belles. We wanted to have a place for you to go and satisfy any curiosity.
Chris (of the belles) and Billy (blackpool lights, The Start) started the creature comforts in 1997. Brian (Blackpool Lights, the belles)and JD (Blackpool Lights, Soccer Mom, Ultimate Fakebook) joined soon after. Chris, Billy, Brian and JD recorded two lps, The Politics of Pop in 1998 and Teaching Little Fingers to Play in 2000, and toured the USA extensively from 1998 to 2002 We shared the stage with the likes of Superdrag, Ultimate Fakebook, The Figgs, The Strokes, The Sheila Divine (and Cheap Trick for christsakes).
We don't play creature comforts shows anymore, but we are all still extremely close friends and very involved in each others projects.
Both TCC records are out of print although there are a couple of boxes of them in my attic. If anyone is interested in buying them, just send us a message here at myspace.
