Originally from Pasadena, TX, THE CRISIS has stormed on the scene as one of the most elcletic and energetic bands of the South. Pure charisma and charm separate this band from the rest of a hungry pack of talent. As the singer/guitarist Brian (BC) Carrion says,"We just like to play music, we don't know anything else or want to know anything else. We know that we have something to offer a music enthusiast - something different. We're not, nor do we endorse, the same ol' bullshit."
In May 2009 the band released their first full-length album, Emergency Medicine, an intentional departure from a traditional Rock album. The disc boasts traditional tracks of "Pigeon Hole", "Sweet Medusa" and "the Fire", while side stepping along genres for songs like "I'm So Tired" (country) and "Brown Chicken Brown Cow" (funk). The funk song containing a verse by local Suburban King - DeeWilla. Also included on the album is an amazing cover of Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana." .
THE CRISIS has been on a perpetual tour since the summer of 2005, stopping only to eat and sleep. The total number of shows played by the band is rumored to be in the 1000's, a true testament to the strength and virility of THE CRISIS.
A team full of skilled musicians, the Crisis is filled out by George Thomas, III (Full Moon Circus) from Jackson, MS and by Charlie Carlisle (Faceplant) from Pasadena. Carrion and Thomas sing so well together they are often mistaken for brothers as their facial hair and vocal patterns are similar. Though they are only one month apart from birth, they are not related through blood, but through music. Both of them in their mid-twenties as the fronting faces of the band.
THE CRISIS music is for fans of music and lyrics that are not just thought-provoking, but socially conscious. The band believes that ordinary music can be made easliy, but extraordinary music must be grown and cultivated with society in order to be poignant.
A truly unique and exciting experience. THE CRISIS is the future of musical entertainment. A true INTERVENTION to the country's music scene.
