Formed at the beginning of 2005, The Crispin Glover and subsequent cross-country tour was originally created for the purpose of moving one of its members from the West coast to the East coast. One year later and homesick for the road, the group is again revving up the station wagon and bringing their rock-n-roll carnival to the people.
The Crispin Glover is comprised of just two members, Chad Benson (Quinn W. Shagbark) and Jonathan Epstein (Helper Monkey). But using a stage-full of instruments – guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, and vocals—and modern-day real-timelooping technology, the duo creates the sound of a full rock band. Jumping from instrument to instrument, Chad and Jonathan build songs from the ground up, resulting in an exciting and ever-evolving experience for the audience.
The "What Would Watt Do?" tour in February 2005 had the group playing shows across the continent, starting in the NW in Seattle and Idaho to multiple nights in Colorado – including a stop at the Starlight Theater in Fort Collins – and finishing off the trip with shows in Cincinnati and Washington, DC. Daily updates from the road were published in Slate Magazine.
The repertoire for that trip included original works by each member, improvisations, as well as tributes to the Band, Mike Watt, Jon Brion, and Built to Spill. Highlights of the tour can found on the tour companion The Crispin Glover Crosses the Great Divide. With another year under their belts, the group will add many new songs to the catalog.
With this upcoming tour, the Crispin Glover will be reaching a whole new audience, by focusing on the East Coast. The tour will run from March 17 – April 1 with stops in Virginia, Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Ohio, and Kentucky.

That's a fly idea to loop and alternate instruments during a song, but you know how people feel about originality nowadays...Love the band name, best I've heard since I was at a Battle Of The Bands back in '95...one band was named The Fat Chick From Wilson Phillips. Keep making your music...Respect from Hellfire Club Inc. and Hellsenda Productions. One.
