    The Crown Seekers were founded in 1965 by Robert Young, Ernest Roy, James Williams Sr., Dan Pitman, Henry Pitman, Waren Hills, and Johnson Davis. The group has continued on singing for forty-three years although members past on and new members came along. The only original member left in the group is James Williams Sr. The first recording was, "He'll Say Well Done"(Tommy Williams Lead Vocalist)and "Jesus is Alright"(Bob Fradieu Lead Vocals) in the 1970's. Later in the 70's the Crown Seekers recorded their first LP, "Salvation is Free." Moving higher in the Lord, the Crown Seekers recorded a second forty-five, "Hold On"(Lloyd Fradieu Lead Vocals) and "God Will Take Care of You"(James Williams Sr. Lead Vocals). Their second LP came in the form of "Let's Get Serious" in the 1980's. Pushing for a higher calling in the Lord, they recorded a cassette/CD called "Turn the Other Cheek" in the 1990's feturing the hit "Everyday I Wake Up is a Good Day"(Lynn S. Williams/Greg G. Sanders Lead Vocals). By 2004 their latest LP "No Time to Lose" was released. The Crown Seekers have performed on the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival for approximately twenty years or more, the World's Fair in New Orleans, the Kansas City Blues Festival in 1997, toured France in 1998, the Big Easy Awards, Little Theater in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Jackson Brewery Jazz and Gospel Club, Kenner Jazz Festival, Juneteenth Festival in Donaldsonville, LA, Telephone Pioneers, Video Juke Box, House of Blues, West Jefferson Health Fair, St. Joseph the Worker School Fair, St. Lucy Church Fair, and nominatied for the Big Easy Awards several times. The Crown Seekers also recorded a radio commercial for WYLD 940 AM in New Orleans. The Crown Seekers are a world renown group and have traveled all over the United States singing God's Praises. The Crown Seekers appeared in Spin Magazine in 1987.
