Formed in 2006, the band combines decades of influences from both sides of the Atlantic into its own brand of sonic bombast. .. .. In 2009 a week was spent at ..1867 Recording Studios.. with Chris McLaughlin ( ..Aberdeen City.. , ..Township.. , ..Polarbaron..) documenting years of sonic tinkering and experimentation. Pieces were deconstructed, reconstructed, mangled, reversed, revised, improvised, burned, blasted, and polished into a cohesive whole. The sense of uplift present in the material was palpable. .. .. The bands efforts were rewarded. The 1867 sessions were trusted to the capable hands of Dave Collins (Soundgarden's ..Superunknown.., The Police's ..Synchronicity.., countless others) for a superb mastering session. The results of all labors yielded TCL's debut EP ....All Orbits Are Free...., a six song effort whose trajectories vary in both texture and style. .. .. In their relatively short history the band has had the honor of sharing the stage with a number of amazing artists including Rob Dickinson (The Catherine Wheel), Township, The Lights Out, The Blizzard of 78, MidAtlantic, Static of the Gods, Where The Land Meets The Sea, Stephen Brodsky, Audrey Ryan, Thick As Thieves, Harris, 28 Degrees Taurus, Airport, St. Helena, MEANDJOANCOLLINS and countless others. .. .. The Crushing Low are currently planning a string of live dates in the Northeastern US for the remainder of 2009.
