After four and a half years together, the Cut have decided that the time is right to call time on their musical escapades, and are breaking up to persue seperate musical projects. The last ever gig will be on Thursday 20th March at Zephyr in Huddersfield which will be free in, and there will be free CD’s, Badges, T-Shirts etc.. if you get there early enough. Kick off will be about 9pm.
We would all like to say an enormous thank you to everyone who has supported us, come to gigs all over the country, bought our music and merchandise and helped get us into the download chart last year. Please come down on the 20th if you can, it will be ace.
You can now download all of our back catalogue for free at the downloads page of the website. Take me there..
Cheers
Alex, Mitch and Chris

the Cut do seem to have an almost bottomless pit of hooklines at their disposal…A radio friendly outing with plenty of twists…manchestermusic.co.uk
With its strange addictiveness, it has the sweet sound of funk and groovy blues with a slightly psychogenic edge to it... these guys know how to rock a damned sight better than bands like the Kaiser Chiefs... the new direction of rock n’ roll - glasswerk.co.uk

Solid Earth and what? the folk present: beats, roots and leaves, an eight hour charity session of musical goodness at Manchester’s best pub in nearly the countryside: Jackson’s Boat in Sale Water Park. All proceeds to MSF in Darfur.
It’s May, the perfect month for a doo in a marquee surrounded by trees. If it rains, don’t fret, we’ll be inside instead. Jackson’s Boat will be serving proper ales and food so make an evening of it, bring some warm clothes now.
what? the folk! gets under way at Odd Bar in the northern quarter on sunday 11th May then each first sunday of the month thereafter. From 8pm, Entry is FREE so get there early. jambone x
