Band MembersATTENTION ARTISTS!!! Please Read Before Sending a Message!
The Dame is open to a large variety of music and events. We would love to have you, whether you're a local, regional, or national touring artist. However, if you're interested in performing on a date, DO NOT MESSAGE HERE!

For booking inquiries and availabilities, please send an email to Nick Sprouse - dameonmain@yahoo.com. You do not need to send any press kits or demos; simply a link to MP3s or an EPK will be more than sufficient.

MySpace has no real way of organizing messages like email does, so those messages tend to get lost in the large volume of mail we receive. Hence, if you want to play, awesome, but email me instead. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding and support and for you being you.

Influences"The first week of August -- with school still out and festival season at a standstill -- is traditionally the time of year when things in Lexington briefly surrender to the summer heat and shut down.

Try telling that to The Dame. The downtown music institution is making late summer evenings come alive with its most diverse concert lineup in months..."

- Walter Tunis, Lexington Herald-Leader (Aug. 4, 2006)

"Embracing the entertainment district, this is the context of creating an environment which is going to inspire and be conducive to encouraging young artists.

The local music venues like The Dame, that area of town has developed without any outside intervention and encouragement. Five, six, seven years ago, it didn't exist, and that is a big deal to young people, particularly creative people.

Our recognizing the value of arts infrastructure and its significance to creating an active arts economy, there are often the little things, the unannounced, unexpected things like that we need to be mindful of. If The Dame doesn't succeed, it's the equivalent in today's world of losing a small manufacturing plant..."

- Vice Mayor Jim Gray, in a roundtable discussion on community arts, Lexington Herald-Leader (March 11, 2007)
