What does the public say?
It was great seeing you and your band yesterday. I hope sometime I get to see your band play! Thanks so much for your business and for plugging us on your web site! Dave from Dave's Guitar
Dan Bixby has been playing guitar since age 15. He came from a family of guitar players. His late father, Dan Sr., his sister, Dawn, and two of his cousins, Drake and Julie all played guitar. That was to eventually spark his interest. Dan started playing in bands at age 17, and started writing songs around that same time. He is a published songwriter with Peer-Southern, Hollywood, CA, and has songs released on various artists CD’s. He has also been teaching guitar for 20 years. Dan writes and sings most of the band’s songs; which have a nice blend of his days as a hard rocker and his current love for playing the blues. The result is some good rockin’ blues, and some non-traditional blues-rocking chord progressions. Tracee Deranick has had a passion for music all of her life. She grew up listening to different types of music…50’s/60’s Rock, Country, Soul, Motown and what we now know as Classic Rock. When she was 10 she started playing the trumpet; which she had won several first place state competitions. It was during this time, she grew an appreciation for classical, jazz and blues music. About 3 ½ years ago, Tracee started playing the guitar. Last year, Tracee left for Phoenix, AZ and attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences earning her degree in audio recording. Tracee’s main blues influences are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Lang, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt…Oh Yeah…can’t forget that guy who the band is named…her guitar teacher and hero…Dan Bixby!! Todd Snyder has enjoyed many forms of music for most of his life. Todd’s older sister played multiple instruments; which started Todd’s interest in music. In 8th grade Todd joined orchestra & choir. Todd played the cello throughout high school; achieving first chair. During this time he played in “Golden Strings” and competed in various string groupings as well as a soloist. In choir, Todd performed in quartets, swing choir, and as a soloist. Todd received several 1st place district and state awards as a singer and a cellist. While in high school, Todd also had an interest in live sound. He built his own sound system and started a mobile DJ service. During college he met Dan Bixby and became friends. Years later their paths crossed again with Todd learning of Dan needing a drummer for his band. Todd eagerly learned to play and became a valuable partner in the band. Todd’s musical influences include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, BB King, Susan Tedeschi, Brian Seltzer.

Hi Dan, (Kris Fox here.)Just droppin by to see how you are doing... I was in Rapids at the music store for my daughter's piano lesson one day last week but they said you don,t work on that particular that day.... I was going to harass you a bit and then see if I could get some lessons from you... no seriously... I am in a little slump and it never hurts to brush up a bit... or a lot!
Well love ya dude and if ya want check out the song S101 on this profile.
Its a new one still in progress... I thought it would be cool to revisit some textures from the 80s.... just think John Hues movie mixed with Billy Idol and the Cure guitar riffage.
