    We are a boutique and studio featuring Bellydance, Music, Magic, and more! We offer all styles of costumes, classes, workshops, and events to choose from. We are also a resource center for the Near Eastern arts where New England based dancers and musicians can connect with each other. Additionally, part of our mission is to educate people about the Romany, the "real life" Gypsy people who have influenced so much of the culture, music, and dance of the Near East and the Mediterranean.

    All things Near and Middle Eastern, Gypsy, Eastern European, Flamenco, Bellydance, Medieval, Renaissance, and fusions thereof... plus some rock, Gothic, blues, jazz, r&b, techno, trance, electronica, hiphop, and whatever else strikes our fancy on any particular day. CDs in stock include Hossam Ramzy, Djinn, Ishtar, Pangia, Turku, Solace, various Six Degrees collections, and others.

  • Filmler

    Instructional DVDs currently in stock include many from World Dance New York; also Bellydance Underworld, Michelle Joyce, Suhaila Salimpour, Tempest, Blanca, Carmine Guida, Bozenka, Phaedra, and a number of others.

  • Televizyon

    Broadcast this: Store hours are Tuesday through Friday, 3-6pm, and Saturdays 1-5pm. Please call ahead as these hours are subject to change or appointment. Weeknight classes are 7-9pm, and Workshops are on Saturdays beginning at 2pm. In between semesters whe there are no classes in session, store hours are by appointment only. The Dancing Gypsy is a boutique and studio located in Central Massachusetts, the heart of New England. We offer Bellydance, Music, Magic... and More! Located only minutes from downtown Worcester, an hour outside of Boston, Hartford, and Northampton, and 90 minutes from Providence, Brattleboro, Keene, and other points near the MA border. We are currently offering these weeknight classes: Gypsy Fusion and Tribal Fusion Bellydance on Tuesdays, "Belly-robics" and ITS Bellydance on Wednesdays, and Cabaret Bellydance on Thursdays. The cost for classes is $60 for 6 weeks prepaid or $12 drop-in. We also offer workshops on various Saturdays from 2-4pm ~ see our Blog or Calendar for schedule details. We also do private lessons, and theme parties such as "Girls Night Out", Bachelorettes, Red Tent, and Red Hat groups. Please call or email for more information on these fun events! We have an in-house band called Ensemble Davuli and a dance troupe called Davuli Dance Company... look for these talented performers at our next hafla! Our studio fits 50 people comfortably for all of our shows... please check our Blog for upcoming events. Our store carries a range of delectable bellydance costumes and other bohemian wares, such as bra and belt sets, cholis and crop tops, bodices, circle skirts, Gypsy skirts, Turkish vests, harem pants, veils, panel skirts, hip scarves, beledi dresses, caftans, jewelry, headpieces, and much more. We sell drums, zills, tambourines, and other musical instruments for the musically-inclined Gypsy. And, for your sensory pleasures, we offer a range of handmade herbal products, exotic spice blends, soaps and sachets, lotions and potions... and we invite you to try our Gypsy teas and coffees while you shop. Beginning in the Fall of 2009 we will also be carrying an exclusive line of magickal products created by Avalon Rose Farm of Brookfield, MA.
