In early 2007, former Thisaeo band members Mikey (guitar), Mario (bass), and Larry (vocals) got together to collaborate on a new musical project.
After months of searching, they eventually found Julius (drums), Dave (keys), and Jeff (guitar) to help round out the rest of the band. With everything in place, they began anew as "The Dandelion War"
"The Dandelion War successfully does the airy, Radiohead meets Sigur Ros thing, though not as long-winded. Like other bands in the genre, dynamics shift between multi-instruments, and strong beats provide a solid backdrop for the melodies. The vocals sometimes give way to the playing, which will keep the band from leaning into Coldplay territory. It sounds like they think that's a good thing." -Tony Hicks (Oakland Tribune/Contra Costa Times)
"Like Explosions (In the Sky), The Dandelion War use shimmering guitars, building drums and crescendos of noise to paint pictures." -Roman Gokhman (BandsOfTheBay.com)

dudes! didnt they tell you? we are stuck in studio... we havent been on this page i a while... this is doug atm, though lyle knows the details... could you write his personal page?
no problem, good music is a fight, against the general horridness of american mainstream culture. So their needs to be some cameraderie between artists, sooner or later goodbands are gonna start breaking again like they did in 1989
I'm sure we'll cross paths somewhere down the line
I met one of your guitarests girlfriends, and she told me to check you guys out. And said how hard working you were.
Since I'm also insanely dedicated to music I figured that deserved some respect.
I play a slightly similar style at times, but it has a tendency to go from really soft to really hard(quiet loud dynamic). It's more patterned off nirvana, dinosaur jr, soundgarden, alice in chains, and neil young then radio head and such. But you guys got some good stuff going very tight and great recording quality. I could totally imagine crossing paths with you guys once I get a new band.
and I really respect what your doing. It's really beautiful sounding

So I was in the car with Sean on Friday on our way to pick up his daughter, and I was thinking, "Man, it's been a while since I got to see The Dandelion War. When will we be able to meet up again?"
So any idea when you guys will be coming down my way? Or we could meet up with you, as long as it doesn't fall on Sean's weekends with Hope. I've been wanting to see you guys perform again. I love the way your music pierces my soul. It's a beautiful thing. And I know Sean digs it too.
It's been a long time indeed! I see you guys've been playing a lot of SF shows, yeah? That's so great for you guys
