Influences vary for each of the Bunnies and they delight in exchanging views.
Paris likes a lot of the old stuff, the Beatles and the Eagles and Bunya is crazy for Kurt Cobain. Zoe tunes into Triple J a lot and conversely likes to sing along with the Beach Boys.
Indigo, well she can sing most of the lyrics to Yeah Yeah Yeahs' and Gwenn Stefani's songs.
They all pretty much like White Stripes and Spiderbait and like what Operator Please are doing.
Sounds Like
Its hard to say as The Danger Bunnies have an original sound. Indigo writes the lyrics and the Bunnies arrange the music themselves. They do a few covers with Teen Spirit being their favourite to perform - you have to hear it, it just awesome and they hope Kurt would be impressed. Their latest song, Grumpy is really good. It pumps out as rock pop.
The Danger Bunnies got together in 2006 when 3 girlfriends in year 5, one with a voice and a guitar, another with a keyboard and the third with a drum kit started jamming. Their sound was pretty outrageous and good. They were quickly joined by a fourth friend with a bass guitar. Their first gig was a school fete - hey you have to start somewhere and what better way than entertaining your friends. Soon after they were invited to perform at some of Brisbane's best and hottest venues.
They were selected to perform at the 2007 2High Festival at the Powerhouse. This was their first "real gig" and they loved every minute of it. The Bunnies went on to perform at the Andy Warhol Festival at GOMA and thrilled their audience by performing Velvet Underground covers.
The Bunnies, affectionately known as Indigo "Vogue Bunny", Zoe "Marshmallow Bunny", Emily "Splitz Bunny" and Paris "Hyper Bunny" continued to build on their youthful success with involvement in Nights Outside at QPAC and Brisbane's Fete de la Music.
Bunya "Boy Bunny" joined the band early in 2008 and The Danger Bunnies became four girls and a boy. Performing with "Boy Bunny" for the first time they took to the stage playing to Queensland's Minister for the Arts and Education, launching the opening of the EDGE at the State Library.
The Bunnies released their first EP "Passing Notes", launched at the Brisbane Powerhouse later in the year and went on to rage at the coolest Valley Festival. They played live at the 2008 NOVA School of Rock at the Brisbane EKKA and featured in the 4zzz top 100 charts with three of their songs coming in under the top thirty list.
Early in 2009, Emily "Splitz Bunny" rang true to her name and harmoniously split from the Bunnies. Although the Bunnies were saddened, they decided four was their number and showed their versatility in interchanging keyboard with bass and bass with lead guitar.
The Danger Bunnies are a solid fixture around the Brisbane music scene and are continuing to develop their unique style. As they mature so is their music and they have worked hard to create an original sound that combines rock, indie and pop with a bit of grunge. They are youthful and experimental and they don't mind having a tonne of fun along the way - they are The Danger Bunnies.

Hi there. It'd be great to see you at our Neil Young Tribute night. It'll be mad fun. It's a once off opportunity to see some great bands do some sweet Neil Young covers.. and even better, it's a fundraiser to help homeless young people of Brisbane to gain an education. What more reason do you need. Cheers
