Myspace Layouts / Myspace Backgrounds / Background Image Uploader The Dangerous Ones are a band based out of Brooklyn, New York. Their style encompasses Rock, Funk, Reggae, Blues, and Punk. The group focuses on strong songwriting to build a live sound that is conducive to both lyrical and instrumental explosiveness.
The band was formed in October of 2006 as a combination of three regionally successful acts. Bassist, Hakeem Lee and Drummer, Mike Crean’s vocal oriented funk-rock band, Helot’s Rebellion was rated in the top seven rock bands of Philadelphia. The band was propelled by this rhythm section’s enegetic blend of complex counter-rythms and funk. They have also performed at Philly’s Theater of Living Arts and The Trocadero. Their group’s old house hosted a monthly music showcase for all of 2005.
Guitarist, Idie Sargent has played in numerous Reggae, Punk, and Calipso bands throughout New York and Pennsylvania. His unique voice and electrifying lead guitar are only part of his repertoire. Born in Guyana, ‘Sargie’ has a natural affinity for Reggae rhythms and songcraft. He is schooled in folk as well, and has a true ear for hooks.
Guitarist, Ed Shiffler fronted the New Jersey based ‘Stoner Rock’ band Keyser Soze for ten years, playing across the country at clubs like CBGB’s five times, including their final weekend, and The Whiskey a-go-go in Los Angeles. The Band recorded four albums and over fifty original songs, many of which can be found at www.ksrock.net.
The Dangerous Ones have used their accumulative experience to create an extremely strong project. They have a built-in following from their previous groups and are building one through constant playing in New York, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City. The band has a strong image and a creative ability for guerilla promotion and public relations. They are in the process of recording their first album, which will feature singles: “Lucy” and “The River” set to be played on college radio across the country.
The Rebel Rockers are seeking a label with national distribution to set up larger tours and promotional events. For more info go to www.thedangerousones.com, or contact their entertainment lawyer, Clem Lisitski at 609-398-6100 or email TheDangerousOnes@yahoo.com.

Yo. It's Bill. I gotta tell you guys, not only do the tunes rock, but your recording job is perfect as far as I'm concerned.
If I were to do it "my way" with "my sound" (whatever that is) it'd be 90% you guys anyway. Plus, I would have to have a lot more equipment than I do in my bedroom to do the music justice.
