  • Bio

The Day He Quit Biding their time and doing it right, The Day He Quit has emerged from the rainy harbour city of Nanaimo, BC. Their debut album: "Chained To The Sky" shines a light on musicality in rock's new era, and the pursuit of perfection in both the song writing and production. Songs on Chained To The Sky range from the West Coast Rock of 'The Time Flies', to the merging of two song concepts and alternate time signatures of 'Way Too Easy', to the ballad 'Where Maps Don't Go' featuring students of the University of Victoria's music program on orchestra strings. All said, the album features 50 inspirational rock-filled minutes that are engaging from front to back. The Day He Quit have set about easily winning the hearts and minds of their local music scene by providing them with consistently quality live rock shows. Their high-energy stage presence is unique and exciting, making it clear that these guys love to perform. They have fun and their energy is contagious. There are about 13 great parts in each song." -Dunner Music Director of The Fox 99.3FM Vancouver BC Program Director of Fox Vancouver Seeds Contest "Your singer is a real lyricist, I was captivated right from the beginning moments [of 'Way Too Easy'] and had to take every word in and see where the story went. Great hooks and great production." -Allan Reid President of Maple Music

The Day He Quit

Fresh off a restructure as a huge four piece rock outfit, The Day He Quit is backed by four years of hard work and a lifetime of friendship. They play music they love, and they destroy all boundaries placed before them. With new songs flowing with ease, this band is easily at their most creative. Catch them at a local show, or just watch the videos on their website.

Their full length “Chained to the Sky” is a progressive masterpiece, and when performing live they manipulate crowds with a natural aura of both calm and crazy.
